Thomas Crofton Croker's collection, gathered in Munster and published anonymously in 1825 — the first systematic book of Irish folklore, and the source of the Library's Irish shelves: the Bunworth banshee at Buttevant, Lusmore at Knockgrafton, the Lady of Gollerus, the death coach out of Rathcooney. Grimm translated it into German within a year.
