OVERVIEW

A narrow, century-old Southern Railway overpass on Colchester Road near Clifton, at the center of the "Bunny Man" urban legend that grew out of two real but minor 1970 police reports of a man in a rabbit costume confronting people in the area.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

The 1970 reports describe a man in a bunny costume swinging an axe at a porch post; the incident was never solved, and it has since grown into an elaborate local legend of a hatchet-wielding figure said to haunt the overpass at night.

VISITING

A public road and rail overpass; visiting after dark is discouraged and trespassing is enforced.
