OVERVIEW

The summer mansion built around 1911 by glass magnate Edward Hamlin Everett on a large estate above Bennington, later the campus of Southern Vermont College. Its brooding architecture has been compared to the house in "The Haunting of Hill House."

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Students, faculty, and paranormal investigators have long reported a woman in white on the grounds, figures in the halls, a robed "monk," moved furniture, and flickering lights.
