Falcon Lake Incident
FOLLOWFalcon Lake, MB
DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
A wooded prospecting area in Whiteshell Provincial Park where, on 20 May 1967, Stefan Michalak reported two disc-shaped objects, one of which he said landed roughly 45 metres away while he sketched it.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
Michalak was treated in hospital for chest burns in a grid-like pattern and reported a sulphurous smell; RCMP and military investigators later recorded elevated radioactivity in soil from the site. He never claimed the craft was extraterrestrial. CBC has called it Canada's best-documented UFO case.
VISITING
The area lies within Whiteshell Provincial Park; the exact site is remote backcountry.
