OVERVIEW

Built in 1910 as the Sam S. Shubert Theater and later the World Theater, it is St. Paul's oldest surviving theatre space and was renamed in 1994 for author F. Scott Fitzgerald, a native of the city. It long served as the home of "A Prairie Home Companion."

REPORTED ACTIVITY

The best-known story is Ben, a former stagehand; a 1985 renovation uncovered a hidden door and a note addressed to him, and employees report seeing a figure in the balcony when the theatre is empty.

VISITING
