A Second Empire–style theatre and steamboat landing opened on the Connecticut River in 1877 by financier William Goodspeed, which hosted major 19th-century performers before falling into disrepair and later being restored as a working musical theatre.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Cast and crew members have long described a backstage presence nicknamed "the Ghost," along with unexplained footsteps, moved props, and cold drafts in the historic building, particularly around the upper floors and stage areas.
