OVERVIEW

Completed in 1891 as the residence of the lieutenant governors of the North-West Territories and later Saskatchewan, a Victorian landmark now operating as a museum and heritage property in Regina.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Staff attribute activity to "Howie," generally identified as Cheun Lee, a cook to Lieutenant Governor Archibald McNab and the only person known to have died in the building, of pneumonia in 1938. Reports include footsteps and flip-flops on the stairs, tablecloths that move, and a music box that starts on its own; the house runs Victorian supernatural tours.

VISITING

Open to the public as a museum, with seasonal evening tours.
