OVERVIEW

A cast-iron-fronted 1871 building constructed as the Grand Lodge of the Masons of Delaware and opera house, hosting performers from Buffalo Bill Cody to John Philip Sousa before its 1973 rededication as a performing arts center known as The Grand.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Staff working late shifts have long described murmurs, clinking glasses, and a sense of company backstage, and the head custodian has reported mops, buckets, and chairs relocating without explanation; the venue's executive director has written publicly about the reported activity.
