Heceta Head Lighthouse & Keeper's House
FOLLOWFlorence, OR
DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
A 56-foot lighthouse first lit in 1894, the strongest on the Oregon coast, with a Queen Anne–style keeper's house now run as a bed and breakfast; both are on the National Register of Historic Places.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
The keeper's house is associated with "Rue," a gray-clad woman said to be a former keeper's wife searching for a lost child; the name came from a Ouija session, and staff and guests report her for decades.
VISITING
The grounds and lighthouse are open to the public; the keeper's house operates as a B&B.
