OVERVIEW

Originally built in nearby Ruby City and moved to Silver City in the Owyhee mining district, the Idaho Hotel is one of the last operating buildings in a ghost town once home to tens of millions of dollars in silver and gold production.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Room 26 carries a longstanding haunted reputation; witnesses describe an apparition in a riding coat linked to an 1868 shootout death on the front steps and a formally dressed figure said to be a former manager, along with recorded EVPs.

VISITING

Open seasonally as a hotel; Silver City is a preserved ghost town open to visitors.
