OVERVIEW

A historic Lewiston building from the town's gold-rush boom, later home to a bordello, now preserved as a museum documenting the region's early history.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Visitors describe a figure called the Lady in Blue gliding on the stairs in a blue gown; some accounts identify her not as one of the bordello's workers but as a churchgoing woman who campaigned to shut the business down and is said to linger to see that it stays closed.

VISITING

Open to the public as a museum.
