DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
A 26-room Victorian mansion built in 1858, remodeled in 1904, and among the few Meridian buildings spared during General William T. Sherman's 1864 raid on the city; it later served as a Union officers' shelter and boarding house before restoration in 1968.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
The best-known spirit is Eugenia Gary, daughter of a later owner, reported near the museum room window and library despite never having lived in the house; visitors also report signs attributed to a teacher who died in the home in the 1940s.
