Mexico City Eclipse UFO Wave
FOLLOWMexico City, CMX
DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
On 11 July 1991 the capital darkened under the last total solar eclipse of the twentieth century, and a metallic object was filmed hovering below the cloud layer by videographers across the Federal District and neighbouring states.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
Footage shot by Guillermo Arragón was broadcast a week later by journalist Jaime Maussan, after which thousands of callers reported the same object and further tapes were submitted; at least seventeen independent recordings were made from points up to 80 miles apart. Analysts have argued the object's position matches Venus, with Regulus and Mars in the expected configuration.
