FOLLOWWinston-Salem, NC
DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
Old Salem is a restored 18th-century Moravian congregation town, now a living-history museum preserving its original buildings and craft trades.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
The "Little Red Man" legend concerns Andreas Kremser, a shoemaker who died in an 1786 cellar collapse while dressed in red; 18th- and 19th-century Moravian congregation records describe hearing hammer taps and footsteps afterward, and later visitors reported seeing a small man in red in the Single Brothers' House.
