OVERVIEW

A hilltop girls' boarding school opened in 1837 and closed in 1891, now preserved as stabilized stone ruins and a historic park overlooking historic Ellicott City.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Three figures recur in the lore — a girl called Annie, "The Shadow," and a top-hatted "Gentleman"; Howard County Recreation & Parks has run guided ghost tours of the site.
