OVERVIEW

An early-1700s house that belonged to Peyton Randolph, the first president of the Continental Congress, and later served other prominent Williamsburg families; it stands within Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Reported hauntings date back to at least 1824, when the Marquis de Lafayette described a cold hand on his shoulder overnight; staff and visitors report voices, moving objects, and a sense of being touched on the stairs.
