OVERVIEW

One of the city's oldest neighborhoods, La Villita grew from a settlement of huts near the river; it was damaged by an 1819 flood and revitalized as a historic arts village in the late 1930s and 1940s, and its restored buildings now house galleries and shops.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Merchants and visitors report cold spots, moving objects, a "woman in white," and other apparitions among the old houses.
