OVERVIEW

Opened in 1893, the inn was operated by William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody from 1894 to 1901, who auditioned Wild West performers from its porch; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Catherine "Miss Kate" Arnold worked at the inn for some 64 years, and her ashes were interred in a third-floor wall at her request; staff have long described her as a caretaker presence still watching over the building.
