OVERVIEW

A recurring light phenomenon along a former rail line near St. Louis, south of Prince Albert; the tracks have been removed, yet a bright, shifting light is still reported and the tale was featured on a 2014 Canada Post ghost-stories stamp.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

Witnesses describe a white headlamp-like light that moves and changes colour; folklore attributes it to a decapitated brakeman searching with his lantern, though a student study proposed a diffraction explanation from distant headlights.

VISITING

Viewable at night from the local grid road, a longstanding informal attraction.
