OVERVIEW

An 18th-century burying ground along Route 59 in Easton, one of the most publicized "haunted" sites in New England after decades of investigation by Connecticut-based paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren, who wrote a 1992 book about it.

REPORTED ACTIVITY

The cemetery's central legend is the "White Lady," reported for decades by passing motorists, police, and firefighters as a pale figure in white along the road who vanishes when approached; the Warrens and other investigators also reported photographic anomalies and voice recordings during nighttime visits.

VISITING

A public cemetery; visitors are asked to respect posted hours and it is patrolled, as after-dark trespassing has historically been an issue.
