Weeden House Museum
FOLLOWHuntsville, AL
DIRECTIONS →OVERVIEW
Built in 1819, the Weeden House is among the oldest homes in Huntsville and later became the residence of artist and poet Maria Howard Weeden, who died there in 1905 in the same room where she was born.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
Docents describe footsteps on empty stairs, a non-functional grandfather clock that chimes on its own, and a rocking chair that will not stay in place, attributed to Weeden's lingering presence.
