THE OBJECT
A painting of a distorted, eyeless figure with an open, screaming mouth, by an unknown artist, owned by Sean Robinson of Cumbria, England, who says the original is 'locked away in a secure location' and not for sale; copies sold online under the name are, he says, fakes.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
LEGEND, OWNER'S ACCOUNT ONLY. Robinson says he inherited it from his grandmother, who kept it in the attic for about 25 years and told him the artist mixed his own blood into the paint and killed himself soon after. Since his first YouTube upload on 1 June 2010 he has reported crying sounds, mists, a shadowy man and the painting falling. There is no independent record of the artist, the blood or the events; it has been called a possible hoax.
