THE OBJECT
A vintage doll that a woman sent to the British paranormal investigator Jayne Harris (Haunted Dolls, later HD Paranormal Research) around 2014. Harris wrote 'Peggy the Doll: A Very Different Haunting' (2017); the doll is now in Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
REPORTED ACTIVITY
LEGEND, CLAIMANT'S ACCOUNT. After Harris posted her photograph on Facebook, she said close to 80 people reported chest pains, nausea, headaches or anxiety from looking at it; in 2015 her group said automatic writing sessions suggested Peggy was Jewish and a Holocaust victim (reported by the Daily Mail and The Algemeiner, April 2015). None of the effects has been independently tested.
