Seven locations added, and the map's first Irish file — The Mission Inn (Riverside, California), the Hinsdale House (New York), Point Sur Lighthouse (Big Sur), the 1905 Basin Park Hotel (Eureka Springs, Arkansas), the site of Black Moon Manor (Indiana), the Ross House (Bellaire, Ohio) and Leap Castle in County Offaly — the first location in Ireland on the Global Incident Map. The Ross House, Bellaire OH — filed UNVETTED. Built 1895, the Gretros family home for forty years, an investigation venue since 2016. No haunting on record before the venue; the miners its operators name are tied by them to the 1925 Webb Mine fire, not by the record. The file says so plainly. #Ohio

Black Moon Manor, Greenfield IN — filed UNVETTED. The smallpox-hospital story sold to visitors (200 dead in the yard) was checked by the Hancock County historians: 84 infections, five deaths, no ledger. One thing held — Rachel Eastes, aged five, buried 1842. The house came down in 2013. A lesson, kept. #Indiana

Eureka Springs now has both pillars on the map: the Crescent, and the 1905 Basin Park Hotel — eight storeys of limestone against the hillside, a ground-floor exit on every floor, Joe Parkhill's gambling years, and the Barefoot Ball, danced since 26 June 1948. #Arkansas #EurekaSprings

The Hinsdale House, Cattaraugus County NY. The Dandy family's own account from the early 1970s — chanting from the woods, figures, burns — and a real named Franciscan from St. Bonaventure who blessed the house more than once. Now an investigation venue by appointment. #NewYork #HinsdaleHouse

The Mission Inn, Riverside — a full city block of Frank Miller's mission fantasy, National Historic Landmark, ten presidents through the door. Local tradition puts Frank and his sister Alice on the fourth floor. The hotel does not sell ghost tours, which is worth noting. #California #MissionInn

Point Sur Lighthouse, Big Sur: lit 1889, last keeper out in 1974, state park since 2004. The volunteers who keep it run ghost tours before Halloween and put their own sightings on the record with KQED — a woman in turn-of-the-century dress on the stair landing, a face at the living-room window. #California #lighthouse

First Irish file on the map: Leap Castle, County Offaly. The Bloody Chapel, an oubliette that gave up three cartloads of bones, and the Elemental — a sheep-sized thing with a rotting face that Mildred Darby put in print in The Occult Review in 1909.
