TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PR|FIS Field Investigation System mobile application and the ODPSI web platform (together, the "Service"), operated by ODPSI ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. WHO WE ARE

ODPSI — the Office of the Director of Paranormal and Supernatural Intelligence — is a private organization. We are not a government agency and have no affiliation with, endorsement by, or connection to any government organization or entity at any level. Any directorial or agency terminology is organizational and thematic in nature.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and make purchases. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. THE SERVICE

The Service provides electromagnetic (EMF) and audio investigation tools, evidence logging and reporting, optional cloud backup, and related community features. The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes.

5. ACCOUNTS & SECURITY

You are responsible for the credentials to your account and for all activity under it. Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS, BILLING & AUTO-RENEWAL

Paid tiers (currently Operative at $3/month and Specialist at $10/month) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time from your account; access to paid features continues through the end of the current billing period. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods. See our Refund Policy for refund terms.

7. YOUR CONTENT & EVIDENCE

You retain ownership of the investigation data, recordings, and media you create ("Your Content"). By using cloud backup, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and upload Your Content.

8. ACCEPTABLE USE & LEGAL CONDUCT

You agree not to misuse the Service or use it for any unlawful purpose. ODPSI does not condone trespassing, breaking and entering, vandalism, or any other illegal activity in connection with the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have lawful permission to access and investigate any location.

9. SAFETY

Investigating unknown, abandoned, or dangerous locations may result in serious injury or death. You assume all risk. Always prioritize your personal safety and never investigate alone in dangerous or unfamiliar locations. ODPSI is not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, or other harm incurred while using the Service.

10. INTERPRETATION DISCLAIMER

All interpretations of any readings, data, or findings produced by the Service are solely the responsibility of the user. ODPSI does not promote, prove, validate, or make any claims regarding the existence of paranormal or supernatural phenomena. Readings reflect sensor measurements and are not evidence of the paranormal.

11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ODPSI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

13. TERMINATION

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
